Dealing with Fear (known and unknown) | Episode 148
On this week’s episode of the Health Made Simple Show, we are talking about the #1 roadblock to everyone’s success: FEAR.
Fear is what holds us back from finding everything you want in life. It’s that little voice in your head that tells you you aren’t capable of surviving what’s in front of you.
The fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of judgment all impact how we perceive our reality. But could you also have hidden fears that are holding you back (and you don’t even realize)?
When you decide it’s time to tackle your fears – that’s when everything changes.
Watch the live show below:
But not all fear is bad for us.
Our bodies are built to experience fear and worry to protect us. When we see a bear coming towards us for example, our body releases hormones that help us escape. But when we live our lives in constant fear and keeping our bodies in fight or flight mode, we start to experience some adverse long-term effects.
Different fears display physical manifestations. Muscle tension, fatigue, sleep disruption, sleep quality are all common byproducts of chronic stress.
The good news is, the effects of long-term stress CAN be reversed with some serious lifestyle changes. Remember – anything hard in the short term (like diet or exercise changes) is almost ALWAYS great in the long term.
What fear is holding YOU back?
There are many things I see patients worry about like:
- Fear of judgment from others.
- Fear about our health.
- Fear of death.
Many struggles with fearful or worrisome thoughts that start to negatively impact their daily lives. In this episode, we’ll break down the best ways to handle fear, like:
- How to overcome the fear of judgment from others, and live life authentically to your true self.
- Practical steps you can take to feel good and alleviate feelings of health anxiety.
- Techniques to overcome panic-inducing worries like the fear of death.
And more!
How To Avoid Fear
To become fearless, you need a solid mechanism – and it starts with courage.
What is important to you? What drives you? What are your goals? When you know what you want for yourself, you naturally adopt a sense of courage.
When you are confident in your ability to tackle life’s challenges, fear is no longer an impossible obstacle.
The best way to start is to focus on healing your hormones. Support your adrenal glands and your hypothalamus. Ashwaganda Forte is the best support, especially if you have been experiencing chronic stress. Sleep is also essential for your body and brain to function and recover properly. Fear can seem much more exhausting when your body has no energy left to handle it.
Don’t let yourself say “I can’t believe I waited so long to take care of myself.” Prioritizing self-care will progress your goals, no matter what they are.
