Hormone Imbalances

Over the past few years, hormone imbalances have begun to rise in both men and women rapidly.

Hormone imbalances are multifaceted. Imbalances begin while the child is in the womb, or even a mother’s exposure before they are born!

Birth control leads to nutrient depletion and miscommunication between the brain, the organs, and the ovaries. This includes the liver! When women are on birth control, the liver gets clogged up, preventing the liver from properly regulating hormones.

Chaste Tree is an incredible herb that helps regulate both male and female hormones and is an excellent alternative to birth control if you do not attempt to prevent contraception.

A Healthy Cycle for Women

For women, ensuring a healthy cycle is essential to clearing up the liver and creating a healthy pregnancy.

Two great supplements to improve the health of the ovaries are chase tree and wheat germ oil.

It is also essential to consider the health of the hypothalamus and pituitary to ensure the proper messages get to the ovaries. Two great minerals to improve these glands are chromium and manganese.

Lastly, it is essential to manage stress to optimize your health and keep your hormones balanced

The Foundation of Hormones

The health of our hormones is a triangle. In the bottom left of the triangle is the adrenal glands, in the bottom right is the ovaries/testes, and on top is the thyroid.

The adrenal glands and the sex hormones are on the bottom of the triangle because they are the foundation of our hormones. They are both in a family known as the steroid hormones.

These steroid hormones are regulated by cholesterol. When your cholesterol is too low, you will not be able to produce them. This significantly impacts how we adapt to stress!

When we are under stress, cortisol increases, causing us to gain weight!

Common Questions:

How do you know if your hormones are imbalanced outside of bloodwork?

  • A saliva test is the best way to find out if your hormones are out of balance!
  • These are at-home tests that can be found by reaching out to Dr. Bart directly!

How should you think about an IUD for older women?

  • An IUD impacts the body the same way as oral birth control, even if it is prescribed as non-hormonal.
  • The only safe way to have non-hormone impacting sex is through condoms.

How does DHEA impact in our body when we are deficient?

  • To support DHEA levels, we should support our adrenal glands.
  • We should be looking at the why behind the issue, not a quick fix.

Does exercise release hormones?

  • Yes! Exercise has a highly positive impact on our hormones, primarily by releasing stress. However, we can overexercise, which is also dangerous.

How can we support difficult menopause?

  • The most important thing to consider when you have a difficult menopause is your adrenal glands’ health.
  • Also, Chaste Tree is an excellent supplement for women leading up to menopause to ensure that their hormones are correctly aligned.

Dr. Ronda does not recommend using tablets, creams, or pellets. With short-term “fixes,” we’re causing a deficiency. Her one exception is vaginal dryness.

Making Health Simple

The number one thing that levels up your health on your journey to becoming superhuman is meditation. We should be starting our day by relaxing and meditating for ten minutes, which lowers our stress levels!
