Dr. Gundry’s Story

Dr. Grundy began in the medical world as one of the most impactful heart surgeons in the United States. It was not until years of practice that he realized the value that supplements could hold.

Dr. Gundry witnessed the transformation of his patients through the use of supplements and a clean diet. Once considered hopeless, he saw inoperable patients rapidly improve through these techniques!

After one year, he realized that he should teach people how to eat instead of operating when their conditions deteriorated. This led him to resign from surgery and open up his health and wellness practice.

What is The Plant Paradox?

Plants use biological defense systems known as lectins. They are used to combat insects eating them and cause insects blood to clot, leaving them paralyzed. These chemicals are in many of the plants we are eating!

Through countless studies, lectin has been proven to make sticky blood cells and cause leaky gut!

Several disruptors have allowed lectins to wreak havoc on our bodies!

They are things such as:

  1. Antibiotics
  2. Antiacids
  3. Asprins which create holes in the gut walls

What Should We Be Eating?

Most anti-inflammatory medicines and foods are similar to a bandaid. Instead of working to fix the symptoms that inflammation is causing, we should aim to combat the cause of inflammation itself!

It is more important to consider what you should stop eating than to consider what you should begin eating!

Even if your food is organic, that does not mean that the animals are being fed a proper diet. This is why we need to make sure that the meat we are consuming is pastured.

If the salmon you are consuming did not eat what nature intended, you would not be consuming vital nutrients!

 

How You Can Eat Lectins and Remain Healthy?

Lectins are almost always found in peels and the seeds! 

You can detoxify your food by making sure that you are not consuming peels or seeds of your favorite fruits and vegetables.

Pressure cooking is another excellent alternative. While beans contain lectins, the pressure cooking process defuses their effect on us.

Getting general grains out of your life is an excellent solution to avoiding lectins.

 

The Importance of Diet

Instead of trying to beat the system, it is crucial to develop an awareness of how food is impacting us and committing to a sustainable diet.

Leaky gut is directly connected to anxiety and depression. This is another reason considering diet is so important.

For the last three years, the lifespan of those in the United States has decreased. Even those who are living longer are not living healthier. We have been simply living sicker.

How Does COVID Impact Us?

COVID is a great opportunity to begin to level-up our health.

Often those who have passed away from COVID have not died just because of the virus. The virus has compounded with other health conditions leading to their passing. This is why leveling up our health NOW is so important!

When your immune system is busy dealing with a leaky gut, it cannot correctly respond to diseases to viruses. 

Vitamin D drastically impacts the impact and longevity of COVID. We should be doubling our intake!

We should also stop consuming sugar or things that turn into sugar, as they negatively impact our white blood cells!

How Important is Fasting?

Fasting has been seen to cure rheumatoid arthritis and provide many other benefits!

However, we should be careful fasting for longer than three days. This is because we do not process heavy metals well.

Also, we should consider time-scheduled eating and short-term fasts!
