Watch the live show below:
What Causes Hormone Imbalances?
The number one thing that causes hormone imbalance is three types of stress.
Emotional Stress
This can be anything, such as worrying about relationships, finances, and even COVID.
Chemical Stress
This is well beyond just eating sugar! These chemicals are endocrine and often found in plastics, cosmetics, and GMO products.
Another specific example is chapstick! The chemicals applied by chapstick go directly into the bloodstream.
Physical Stress
This could be an injury or misalignment which directly impacts your pituitary gAlsodition, poor sleep, poor posture, and even past trauma from things such as car accidents.
What is the Foundation of Hormones?
The foundation of your hormones is your ovaries/testes as well as your adrenal glands. These make up the bottom two corners of the hormonal health pyramid.
All imbalances come from these areas! An imbalance means that they are not doing what they are supposed to be doing in the timeframe that they are expected to do it in.
The top of the pyramid is the thyroid, and inside the pyramid is HP access.
The HP access is the hypotholemous pituitary gland. Everything you have from your central nervous system goes into the HP.
When we develop various types of stress, there is constant input bombarding the HP access with multiple messages. As they are getting bombarded, the HP access gets overwhelmed, and it can not effectively send messages back to the thyroid, ovaries/testes, and adrenals.
Under stress, your body wants to produce cortisol. This causes your adrenal glands to run out, which causes your body to stop producing sex hormones and only produce cortisol. This leads to an imbalance.
What are the Symptoms of hormone imbalance?
- For women, it can be heavy bleeding, an irregular cycle, PMS, irritability, and significant emotional fluctuation.
For every woman who wants to avoid hellish menopause, you must ensure that your taking care of your adrenal glands now!
What About Hormone Replacement Therapy?
In hormone replacement therapy, individuals typically only get their blood tested. However, the most effective way to test our hormones is through saliva.
To help your hormone replacement therapy, you must begin to support your adrenal glands.
When we begin to take hormones, our HP access stops making them. The reality is that if you are taking the same amounts at the same time every day, then your not operating as you were designed to.
The body was built to create more hormones out of necessity. For example, if you are lifting weights and running, then you will need more testosterone. In contrast, if you are having a rest day, your body does not need to produce as much.
If you have excess hormones, they will be deposited in the fat cells causing you to gain and retain weight.
If you are on or considering taking hormones, it is essential to reach out to someone who is well educated on the impact of hormones!
Further Concerns
The best way to clean out excess hormones is to ensure that we are cleaning out the liver and the gallbladder.
This can also impact children in the womb! Expectant mothers must consider what hormones they are consuming.
As of recently, young adults and even teenagers have had to have their gallbladders removed. This is because excess hormones are getting stuck in the gallbladder, causing it to malfunction.
Are There Foods we Should Add to our Diet?
We must be consuming enough fats. All of our hormones are made from cholesterol!
When presented with medication to lower our cholesterol, we must consider the implications of reducing our sex hormones.
Cholesterol is a good thing! It is important to be consuming good fats to obtain cholesterol such as fish, eggs, and animal fats!
This is why the most common individuals who have hormone imbalances are vegetarians and vegans.
Another great piece of advice is to ensure that we are always eating from God’s Garden. You can learn more about that from Dr.Bart’s talk here: read now.
What Supplements Can Help us Regulate our Hormones?
Ashwagandha is an herb that is the absolute best for regulating the hypothalamus-pituitary gland. Also, this can be a great asset for helping us lose weight!
Assuming that your HP access is still functioning well, lumina is a very effective supplement that can allow your hormones and glands to communicate better.
When it comes to hormones, do not try to navigate this road by yourself. When your hormones are out of balance, it is tough to make decisions out of logic and reason!
At points, your glands may need glandular materials. This is a great way to level up your health and should be a conversation that you have with your health practitioner.
By testing your adrenal glands, we are able to get information about how our body is regulating stress, hormones, and more.
