Sleeping Posture, Allergies, And more! – Episode 73

by | Oct 8, 2021 | The Health Made Simple Show

We’re back with another episode covering everything from allergies to hernias to sleeping posture. Let’s get started!

Watch the live show below:

1. I currently have Covid and I’m not getting any better. What can I do?

Don’t wait and see what happens, it’s time to take action right away. The first and most important thing you can do is rest. Your body is in a battle and the more energy you conserve, the quicker you can win. Even if you’re in bed for 20 hours a day, just think of it as you giving your body the tools it needs to fight the battle. Supplements wise, Cataplex C (3 every other hour for a total of 15 a day), Cataplex D (4 twice a day), Zinc Chelate (3 twice a day), and Viranon, which you can get by contacting us at 850.231.9288 or info@balance30a.com. In addition, if you have access to Ivermectin or monoclonal antibodies, both are showing great results.

2. I have a hiatal hernia where food sometimes gets stuck. Can surgery be avoided?

Yes! A chiropractor can manually try and release the hernia, especially a chiropractor trained in kinesiology. Make sure you’re doing the right things nutritionally, so you don’t make it worse. Despite what you may think, bringing more hydrochloric acid into your life can actually help.

3. What’s the best remedy for allergies?

Allergies cover a broad scope, but the most important thing you can do is take care of your nutrition first. Many times the inflammatory response we think of as allergies are really a response to gluten, dairy and sugar which inhibit the white blood cell response. Bitter foods like arugula, ginger, and apple cider vinegar can help. Once you clean up your diet and get rid of the gluten, you might be surprised how much of your “allergies” clear up. For supplements, I recommended the triple threat of Zypan, Allerplex, and Sinus Forte.

 4. Can mold be related to allergy symptoms?

They can present similarly, but while allergies are on and off, mold is more relentless. Also, fatigue and gut discomfort are more common with mold than allergies.

5. How can I heal a stomach ulcer?

It’s not okay to just take some Pepto Bismol and coat it. I recommend taking 2 Chlorophyll Complex and chewing them up, as chlorophyll is a great wound healer and a hernia is an internal wound. While aloe is soothing, it doesn’t contain chlorophyll, so it won’t do the healing you need.

6. What is the best sleeping position?

Flat on your back, especially with a small pillow or even no pillow at all. It’s a strong emotional posture as well as a strong physical posture. Laying on either side is going to cause a shoulder problem over the long term. As far as beds go, I recommended the Intellibed. It’s what I use and it’s chemical free. You may need to practice sleeping on your back, even if it doesn’t come naturally at first. You can train your body and it will be worth it in the long run, especially if you have jaw issues, teeth issues, sleep apnea, or snoring.

7. I have Sjorgren’s and I get dry mouth in the morning, what can I do?

One thing you can do to combat this is to activate your parotid glands. You can lightly chew on your tongue, especially while rolled, or chew on the sides of your jaw. It’s great for the dehydrated, too!

8. I have an 11 year old male family member who suffered brain trauma. He is now in a wheelchair and non-verbal, but understands speech. What are some safe supplements?

Everything I recommend on the show is a whole food supplement, so the main concern is dosing based on weight. For brain health after trauma, I recommended Neurotrophin PMG (2 before bed on an empty stomach and 2 first thing in the morning), Neuroplex, Olprima DHA (2500 mg minimum), Cod Liver Oil, and RNA. Most importantly is lots of love and a positive attitude. We have more science and data than we’ve ever had and we are able to do so much more than we’ve ever been able to do.

9. What should my Vitamin D levels be?

If you google this question, you might get an answer as low as 30mg, but at this moment, that’s not nearly enough. Somewhere between 50mg and 100mg is so much better. Remember, 85% of Covid deaths were in people with Vitamin D insufficiency. Make sure you’re being tested for it.

10. How many carbs a day should I be eating?

They key isn’t counting carbs, but net carbs which is total cabs minus fiber. You can use an app called CarbManager to help you keep track. For weight loss, 70g/day is a practice range, but if you’re interested in losing weight, you probably need to work it down to 30 or under.

11. How can I reverse 25 years of Type 2 diabetes?

The focus isn’t so much on reversing diabetes but starting today. This is the best moment to begin. First, start monitoring and making sure your net carbs are at 70g/day or below. If you can start and live there for 30 days, then you can start to lower it. Combining the carb reduction with intermittent fasting is a great place to start.

12. I’ve heard Vitamin D is really a hormone, is that true?

Yes, our body makes it as the sun hits the skin and interacts with the cholesterol, so technically it is the hormone family. This means it is fat soluble, so we can store it in the body.

And lastly, we have this week’s action to become superhuman…

Practice Health.

Give yourself permission to not be perfect at everything and allow yourself to get better and your health. Get the Vitamin D, sleep on your back, and do the things we discuss here and then give yourself credit for the progress you make!
