Sciatica, Hair loss, And more! | Episode 77

by | Nov 18, 2021 | The Health Made Simple Show

One of the most frustrating things I hear people tell me about their doctors is that they don’t understand the power of their own words. I had a friend come tell me his doctor said to him “Your gallbladder is a little bit sludgy, eventually it’ll have to come out”.

How does he know?

Why is that just an inevitability?

The truth is, too often doctors are too flippant with their words and don’t realize the power they have. If we just listen to them and comply, we rob ourselves of the options we may have. Sure, compliance is the easy thing to do. And because we put a lot of trust in our doctors, sometimes it seems logical. But the truth is, compliance can not only hurt you, but the people you love. Every time you comply, you make it easier for the people around you to comply. But think of the opposite. Everytime you think independently, and make the best decision for your own superhuman health, you give the people around you the freedom to do the same.

Just something to think about.

I also took questions this week and here they are.

1. What could be causing weight gain and thinning hair if my thyroid numbers are normal?

Too often, the thyroid gets blamed for everything. In this case, the simple answer is cortisol and stress, especially if it’s both simultaneously. Hair loss and stress usually go hand in hand and it can begin quite suddenly. Other times, there’s too much hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which prevents iron production and leads to being Vitamin B deficient.

I recommend taking a walk, getting outside and getting some natural Vitamin D. If stress goes unchecked long enough it will eventually hurt your thyroid as well. I recommend an adrenal home test, which you can get by contacting Balance Health Studio at 850.231.9288 or info@balance30a.com

2. If you’ve experienced long-term hair loss and you can finally get out of fight or flight, will it grow back?

In females, usually yes. In males, usually no.

3. What advice can you give for a herniated disc and coping with sciatica pain?

The best supplement I recommend is Ligaplex I. Also, watch my Spinal Flow Video and practice every day. In addition, you should probably see a chiropractor. The body is a healing machine, you just need to give it the best opportunity to do what it was built to do.

4. What herbs and spices are good for circulation, heart health, and moving cholesterol?

I recommend Hawthorn and Cardio-Plus, which you can get by clicking the links and Mother’s Wort and Berberine, which you can get by contacting Balance Health Studio at 850.231.9288 or info@balance30a.com. However, before you set out to lower your cholesterol, make sure it actually needs to be lowered.

5. Do you ever think that someone is too far gone to begin a holistic approach to healing?

No, no one is ever too far gone. The moment we gain hope, it lights us up. When you combine that hope with even small lifestyle changes, you’re automatically vibrating on a higher level. Most importantly, just don’t give up on your loved ones, keep loving them. You don’t necessarily have to fix them or change their label, just work on their Be Awesome Protocol. Whatever makes them awesome, focus on that and watch how a change in perspective can work.

6. I saw your post on celery juice, can it be any green juice?

Any green juice would be good, but celery juice has unique benefits, just make sure it’s organic. If you did 16oz of celery juice every morning for 30 days, it would be life changing. You’ll be in the restroom a lot, but that’s a good thing! Hunker down, take it straight up like the superhuman you are, and watch it go to work.

7. Do you have any tips for staying healthy for the holidays when you’re around people who aren’t on the same health journey as you?

These next 60 days are the most detrimental of the entire year. Thanksgiving day is the #1 heart attack day of the year and New Years Day is #3. The causes are obvious: alcohol, food, and stress. We should not be compliant with everyone else’s choices. If you want to play, you’ve got to pay. Immediately fast out anything you put in your body that you know you shouldn’t have. You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. When you’re peaking on January 1st, you’ll know that all the hard work was worth it.

8. What does it mean to bloat in the upper abdomen and lower abdomen?

Upper GI bloating starts in the stomach.  Typically, your acid is too weak to break down your food. If you’re eating right and using enzymes, sometimes it’s a bad state of being while you’re eating. Lower GI bloating, from the belly button and down, is usually some level of dysbiosis. Your bacteria is out of balance and you’ve got to get those bad guys out of there. If you’ve got consistent bloating, reach out to a practitioner and together identify exactly what needs to be killed off.

9. How does someone balance feminine and masculine energies in the body?

We all have both and the more we can utilize both intentionally, the better. Feminine energy is mostly about nurturing, but that nurturing has to start with self. To express a good level of feminine energy, start by answering, “Am I nurturing myself?”. That self-love is overlooked far too often. Many men need to work on developing this energy and understanding when to turn off the “fixer” and become the “nurturer”. The masculine energy is about challenging and finding the “Why?”. The male energy gets squashed through compliance, but it thrives by being competitive, pushing ourselves, and finding risk. Balance is about acknowledging both and understanding when to use them.

And last, but certainly not least, this week’s action to become superhuman is…

Come Up With Your BE AWESOME Protocol.

Whatever makes you awesome, go do it! Focus on what makes you awesome and grow it so you become your most awesome self.
