Becoming the best version of yourself requires strength and discipline – but change is ALWAYS possible. Dr. Bart has helped hundreds of people overcome their mindset challenges in regards to their health, and breaks down success into 6 steps:
1. Let go of all excuses. Look around your life – do the people closest to you buy your excuses? Would you want your health care provider to buy your excuses? If you want to move your healing journey forward, the answer should be “no.”
2. Advocate for your own success. Society has turned to food, drugs and alcohol instead of genuine celebration. Practice celebrating even the smallest things in your life and get that dopamine hit. Let yourself enjoy the life you’re living.
3. Don’t become complacent. Work for your health, not because you’re sick. We are all guilty of complacency at one point or another, but don’t forget the value of every day you have. Consciously take responsibility (it sounds heavy, but there is a lot at stake).
4. No complaining allowed. Imagine you live in a world where you are not able to make any excuses or complaints. Allow your tribe to hold you accountable. Your complaints will show you the root cause of where your problems are coming from. Maturity is the ability to fail, and accept responsibility.
5. What words are you using? Frustrated? Annoyed? Emotions that cause contraction within the body will energetically affect the way you feel.
6. What are you consuming on a regular basis? Is it promoting the lifestyle you want for yourself? Be deliberate about what you consume. What you are looking for you often find.
