The Ultimate Guide to Eliminating Pain Naturally

Pain is one of the most complex physical phenomena our bodies will experience. It is something we ALL experience at some point in our lives, and as annoying as it may be, it is essential to keeping our bodies safe from harm.

Everyone also experiences pain differently. What one person will rate their pain a 4, another will rate the same issue as an 8. On this week’s episode of the Health Made Simple show, we discuss what pain is and where it comes from, and the best way to help our bodies heal from pain.

Pain Is Not The Enemy

We are usually taught from a young age that pain is bad, and should be avoided. While it may be inconvenient at times, pain is our body’s main method of communication to our brain, to let us know it needs help.

There are multiple types of pain – but it is typically classified as either recurring (repeatedly over time), chronic or acute pain. Pain can occur as a result of an injury, harmful repetitive motions (like working in an unergonomic space), or untreated injuries or physical imbalances (just to name a few). If you are experiencing pain of any kind, you need to do some detective work to identify the root cause. Not only that, but pain can enable a fear-based mindset (particularly if you have not identified the root cause). Consequently, the mind can amplify the pain we perceive we are feeling. If you are experiencing pain that you need to heal, it is important to understand the brain’s perception of pain, and how to manage it.

What Is Your Body Trying To Tell You?

If you have pain present in your body, the first step is to think through probable causes/ sources. Is it near a joint? A muscle? When did this pain start, and what were you doing at the time? Have you experienced this pain before? Have you ingested anything that could be triggering your pain?

A main source of pain in adults especially is due to lack of mobility and range of motion. When we sit too much, our glutes and shoulders can quickly become main sources of pain. This is why yoga is extremely important for adults to do on a regular basis, as the lengthening and strengthening is essential to nurturing your muscles properly. Both nerve pain and inflammation are typically the root cause of pain in our joints and muscles. Inflammation can occur as easily as eating foods your body is sensitive to (or it elicits an inflammatory response).

Using Herbs to Heal Pain:

There are a number of staple, pain-relieving herbs that you should keep in your medicine cabinet at all times:

Boswellia and turmeric is the ultimate joint-pain combination. They help your body neutralize toxins, lower cholesterol.

Willow Bark contains salicylic acid, that is nature’s aspirin equivalent, but it does not harm your gut health or fill your body with toxic chemicals.

Jamaican Dogwood, California Poppy  and Cordialias mimics the effects of opiates, and is extremely effective in treating nerve pain. Try the Syngeristic complex for comprehensive support.

Ginger is a very underrated herb found right in the grocery store that will improve your body’s circulation. If you have issues with your thyroid, or need increased circulation to help your joints, ginger (combined with California Poppy) is a great combo.

Celery Root Seed helps pain regulation and calms the body down. It can be blended into herb tonics and get to work in your body as soon as 60 seconds after taking.
